Climate Pledge Arena, a $1 Billion redevelopment of the facility formerly known as KeyArena and built originally for the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair, will be transformed into a world class, state-of-the-art City jewel and destination. Located at Seattle Center in the heart of Seattle’s Uptown Neighborhood, the new venue will offer a truly unique and intimate experience for the NHL, WNBA, concerts and other entertainment events, while preserving the historic nature of Seattle Center and its surroundings. This project will be a completely new arena beneath its existing historic-landmark roof that will remain in place. Climate Pledge Arena is under construction now, projected opening 2021. The 32nd NHL franchise, the Seattle Kraken will begin play in the 2021-2022 season. 

 

 

Position Summary:

This role would be responsible for operational support to monitor and inspected venue readiness and cleanliness.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

The Facilities Readiness Inspector will be responsible for all Front and Back of House areas, hallways, stairs, offices, dressing/locker rooms and surrounding grounds and premises. Suites, Sitting bowl, Concourse exterior.  Specific duties include:

 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including:
    • Housekeeping Team
    • Facilities
    • Event Operations
    • Food and Beverage
    • Guest Services.
    • 3rd Party Cleaning Contractor
  • Conduct inspections throughout their shift, reporting anomalies to the correct departments via an internal software system. The right candidate will have strong multi-tasking skills, an eye for details, be a team player, be able to problem solve and thrive in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to business needs.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
  • A minimum of 2 years related experience, preferably at the supervisory level
  • Available to work event days (including weekdays, weekends and holidays) on a part time basis from 6:00am-3:00pm with (1) 30-minute lunch break and (2) 15-minute breaks
  • Must be able to follow and provide both oral and written instructions
  • Must be able to follow through and carry out work orders
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Must be reliable, thorough, observant, very organized, flexible and courteous
  • Ability to stand/walk, Flat floor and Steps/ Stair for up to 6-8 hours per event day and lift at least 25 pounds
  • Ability to work inside or outside in all different weather conditions
