Climate Pledge Arena, located at Seattle Center, is the complete redevelopment of an historic landmark, originally built for the 1962 Seattle World's Fair.  The arena is home to the NHL’s Seattle Kraken, WNBA's Seattle Storm, and the world's biggest performers of live music and events. The arena is named after The Climate Pledge, an initiative founded by Amazon and Global Optimism asking global corporations to become net zero carbon by 2040.  Climate Pledge Arena has one of the most progressive sustainability programs of any building its size, including being the world’s first Zero Carbon Certified arena. Climate Pledge Arena opened October 19, 2021.

Position Summary: 

The Concert Retail team will be responsible for providing retail services for concerts and focus on delivering a first in class customer service experiences for our guests. The department will remain solely focused on delivering the best service and efficient sales, while being creative in their approach in selling merchandize for our non-NHL events.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and have a true focus on providing best in class guest experiences. They will be adaptable and pivot to accommodate a forever changing environment, be an active communicator, have a good understanding of arithmetic, and be able to work in a team environment. The ideal candidate must also be highly comfortable with live events attended by large audiences and loud noise.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Ability to count inventory and manage various SKU’s for selling to the public for concerts.
  • As a cashless environment there will be cash handling required but we will be using a handheld IOS Based point of sale to conduct transactions, must be comfortable learning and operating the system and operational requirements.
  • Comfortable working in loud fast paced environments, with concert/performance noise, flashing lights and large audiences.
  • Assist Retail Supervisors with set up, delivery and fulfillment of special requests.
  • Effectively communicate safety and security measures throughout the arena.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience & Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer service-based industry.
  • Previous experience within a sports, entertainment, or related field
  • Previous Concierge experience in hotels or similar environments.

Working Conditions: 

  • 75% event availability commitment for September through April and 65% event availability commitment for May through August. Event requirement is subject to change.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking and standing for long periods of time.

Compensation

  • In accordance with the Washington State Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, the expected rate for this position is $22.50/hr

  • This role is non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay
