                                                                                                     PA Announcer 

 The Professional Women’s Hockey League (“PWHL”) is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and experienced Public Announcer (“PA”) for the PWHL Vancouver team. This position reports to the Manager, Game Presentation and Fan Experience and will be responsible for all in-game PA duties including promotional reads, goal announcements and crowd prompts. 


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for all in-game crowd prompts and announcing all assigned scripting
  • Responsible for delivering all goal announcements, hype hits, and driving crowd engagement

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:      

  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Must have minimum 2 years of experience as a PA
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the PWHL Vancouver team’s schedule 
  • Must be able to work 13 homes games per the PWHL Vancouver team’s schedule 
  • Must be a team player with strong organizational and multitasking skills 
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment 
  • Must exemplify outstanding communication skills and a professional attitude
  • Must have knowledge of and a passion for the PWHL
  • Experience working live events

  • Strong voice, confident cadence and able to adapt quickly on the fly
  • Attention to detail 
  • Ability to take direction and work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required 
  • Candidate must be able to work on-site

COMPENSATION:

Annual Salary:  The wage scale for this role is $300 CAD per game.
