In-Arena Host
The Professional Women’s Hockey League (“PWHL”) is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and detail-oriented In-Arena Host for the PWHL Vancouver team. This position reports to the Manager, Game Presentation and Fan Experience and will be responsible for executing all in-arena on camera hosting, explaining promotional activations and amplifying the fan experience.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the on-camera execution of in-stand promotions, intermission games and crowd engagement
- Interact with fans on camera to enhance crowd excitement and overall experience
- Contribute on microphones to arena entertainment and fan enthusiasm.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the PWHL Vancouver team’s schedule
- Must be able to work 13 homes games per the PWHL Vancouver team’s schedule
- Must be a team player with strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Must exemplify outstanding time management and communication skills and a professional attitude
- Must have knowledge of and a passion for the PWHL
- Experience working live events
SKILLS, ABILITIES & OTHER ATTRIBUTES:
- Strong presence on camera and with a live microphone
- Ability to take direction and work collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent time-management and communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, and weekends
- Candidate must be able to work on-site
COMPENSATION:
Annual Salary: The salary for this role is $250 CAD per game.
