The Professional Women’s Hockey League (“PWHL”) is seeking enthusiastic, passionate and detail-oriented individuals for the Ice Crew for the PWHL Vancouver team. This position reports to the Manager, Game Presentation and Fan Experience and will be responsible for executing game night duties, intermission activations and cleaning the ice during TV Timeouts.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cleaning the ice rink during tv time-outs 
  • On-ice setup and execution of intermission contests, games and performances
  • Assisting on-ice during pregame ceremonies

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:      

  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the PWHL Vancouver team’s schedule
  • Must be a competent skater in hockey skates and have a high level of physical fitness 
  • Must be able to work 10-13 homes games per the PWHL Vancouver team’s schedule 
  • Must be a team player with strong organizational and multitasking skills 
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment 
  • Must exemplify outstanding time management and communication skills and a professional attitude
  • Must have knowledge of and a passion for the PWHL

 
SKILLS, ABILITIES & OTHER ATTRIBUTES: 

  • Strong skating skills 
  • Ability to take direction and work collaboratively within a team environment
  •  Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required 
  • Candidate must be able to work on-site

COMPENSATION:

Hourly Range:  The wage scale for this role is $17.85 CAD per hour.
