Marketing & Partnership Activation Manager

The Marketing & Partnership Activation Manager drives brand awareness, ticket sales, and fan engagement for PWHL San Jose through integrated marketing efforts and local partnership activation. Reporting to the team's Director, Business Operations, this role owns the team marketing calendar and works closely with the League's Marketing and Corporate Partnerships teams to execute the team's marketing operations plan. The annual salary range for this position is $78,000 to $80,000 USD.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Execute team marketing strategy, including local partnerships, promotions, and ticketing campaigns
- Own the team marketing calendar and coordinate activations across Ticketing, Partnerships, Merchandise, Content, and Communications
- Build and activate local marketing partnerships to drive brand growth, fan engagement, and revenue
- Serve as day-to-day project manager for marketing campaigns, tracking KPIs and reporting results
- Support paid media initiatives in collaboration with the League Marketing team
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, sports business, or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in a marketing department or related role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with social media advertising platforms (Meta Business Suite or similar)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required
- This position is based in the United States. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The PWHL does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
- Experience in the sports and entertainment industry
- Demonstrated success building local partnerships and executing local marketing campaigns
- Experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns with measurable ROI
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and database management
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
