Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Partnership Sales is responsible for driving new partnership revenue for the PWHL by identifying, cultivating, and closing strategic sponsorship opportunities at both the league and team levels. This role leads the full sales cycle, builds long-term client relationships, and collaborates cross-functionally to deliver customized partnership solutions that align with partner objectives and league priorities. A strong emphasis is placed on expansion markets, innovative activations, and value-driven storytelling around the PWHL brand. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities 
  • Proactively identify, research, and pursue new league and team partnership prospects, with a strong focus on priority and expansion markets. 
  • Develop, customize, and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals for clients and agencies. 
  • Lead prospect and client meetings, including pitch orchestration, needs discovery, and solution presentation. 
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with brand partners, providing education on PWHL league and team opportunities while establishing long-term trust. 
  • Sell integrated sponsorship programs across a diverse mix of assets, including but not limited to traditional media, digital, social, in-arena, grassroots, and community initiatives. 
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through negotiation and execution, ensuring a seamless and professional partner experience. 
  • Partner closely with the Partnership Activation team to ensure all contractual elements are fulfilled at a high level and partner expectations are exceeded. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, content, events, and operations teams to align partnership assets and maximize value delivery. 
  • Maintain a healthy and accurate pipeline of prospective opportunities and consistently meet or exceed individual and team revenue targets. 
  • Track all sales activity, communications, proposals, and contracts within the CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and reporting consistency. 
  • Provide regular updates, forecasts, and performance reports to the Director, Partnership Sales and broader sales team. 
  • Represent the PWHL and its teams with professionalism, credibility, and enthusiasm in all internal and external interactions. 
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives as business needs dictate. 
  • Participate in limited travel, as required. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Required Qualifications 
  • Minimum of 5 years of sponsorship or partnership sales experience within sports, entertainment, or a related industry. 
  • Bachelor’s degree. 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook). 
  • Proven ability to create high-quality sponsorship presentations; experience with design tools such as Canva is a strong asset. 
  • Passion for women’s hockey and/or women’s professional sports. 
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in their country of residence (United States or Canada( on a full-time basis. The PWHL does not provide visa or work permit sponsorship for this role. 

Preferred Qualifications 
  • Post-secondary or Master’s degree in Sports Business, Marketing, or a related field. 
  • Experience selling integrated, multi-platform partnerships at the league or team level.

Flexibility & Travel 
  • Candidate must be able to work remotely, during evenings, weekends, and occasional travel as required
