The Professional Women’s Hockey League is seeking an experienced and passionate individual for the Senior Coordinator, Social Media position with the PWHL. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments and brings a strong understanding of social media and content strategy. This position will help drive social strategy and content while continuing to develop our voice across platforms, executing storytelling, building authentic connections and promoting new offerings.
This position’s responsibilities include the execution and continued maintenance of the league’s social media strategy, creating engaging content on a regular basis across channels, working with various verticals to drive conversions, growing the fan community and reporting on results to further inform strategy. Responsibilities and tasks will be coordinated with and supervised by the PWHL’s Senior Manager, Digital and Social.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute the league’s social media strategy.
- Regularly maintenance and update the league’s social strategy based on performance data to continue best working towards the league’s objectives, including audience growth, engagement and brand positioning.
- Adhere to league brand standards and uphold the league’s professional image and values across all channels.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging platforms to ensure the league's social media presence remains innovative and relevant.
- Assist with managing the league’s content calendar for all channels, ensuring a balance between promotional, informative, and entertaining content.
- Develop creative content for various platforms and stay up to date on the latest trends to keep the league’s content relevant and engaging.
- Edit graphic templates as needed.
- Regularly coordinate with PR, Merchandise, Ticketing and Partnership teams.
- Assist with the real-time coverage of big moments and top highlights across the season.
- Coordinate with teams around upcoming events and activations to collaborate on content live as needed.
- Foster a vibrant and active online community through responding to comments, answering questions and DMs and monitoring mentions across channels.
- Continue to drive fan engagement through UGC campaigns, polls and other interactive elements.
- Monitor and analyze metrics to assess performance of campaigns and day-to-day content. Make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Provide regular reports on KPIs to track growth and engagement.
- Identify potential influencers, brands or other stakeholders who may be fit to amplify the league’s reach and impact.
- Assist with tracking and managing collaborations that align with league values and objectives.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a social media role, sports experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Platforms such as Photoshop, Rush and Premiere.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, trends and best practices.
- Proficient in social media analytics tools.

Annual Salary Range: $45,000 to $50,000 USD/$55,000 to $60,000 CAD
