Position Summary
The Project Manager, Creative Services serves as the operational lead for the PWHL's Creative Team, with a primary focus on design-driven projects and day-to-day creative tasks across the league and its teams. This role oversees the intake, prioritization, and execution of creative work, ensuring design projects move efficiently from concept through final delivery while meeting strategic, brand, and business objectives.
With a deep understanding of graphic design and creative production, this individual ensures work is thoroughly scoped, well-briefed, and executed to a high standard across all channels. Acting as the central point of coordination, the Project Manager enables high-quality design output in a fast-paced, multi-market environment by establishing and maintaining clear workflows, strong communication, and disciplined project management.
This role balances hands-on management of day-to-day design production workflows with oversight of large-scale league initiatives, events, and campaigns, applying a strong marketing lens to ensure creative work supports audience growth, revenue objectives, and league brand strategy. The Project Manager will partner closely with a team of designers, the Art Director, and the Brand and Marketing team, supporting the league and each of its teams, to ensure creative priorities are aligned, work is strategically coordinated, and design output consistently supports the long-term growth and brand vision of the PWHL.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all design and creative requests, managing the full lifecycle of creative projects from intake through final delivery.
- Lead project intake and prioritization with a strong understanding of design effort, creative complexity, and production requirements.
- Partner closely with creative leadership and graphic designers to align on scope, creative intent, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Oversee and manage the creative briefing process, ensuring all projects are clearly defined with complete and accurate information prior to kickoff.
- Track project progress, milestones, and deadlines, maintaining visibility into team workload priorities.
- Serve as a final quality-control review point for all creative assets prior to delivery, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with the approved brief.
- Ensure consistency and excellence in brand execution, typography, layout, visual systems, and overall design quality across all deliverables.
- Coordinate design work supporting league marketing campaigns, ticketing initiatives, partnership activations, brand storytelling, special events, and more.
- Manage stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle, translating business objectives into clear creative direction for designers.
- Coordinate integrated deliverables across graphic design, video, animation, digital, and content teams as needed.
- Develop and refine creative workflows, operational processes, and project management systems to improve collaboration and efficiency.
- Provide clear, timely, and constructive feedback on creative work, grounded in design best practices, project goals, and business objectives.
- Support the adoption and effective use of project management platforms (e.g., Asana) to manage design workflows.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing design-focused or creative projects, preferably within marketing, brand, or production teams.
- Expert knowledge of graphic design principles, production processes, and best practices.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, design file structures, and asset management.
- Strong working knowledge of project management systems and workflow tools, preferably Asana.
- Experience leading or working within a high-volume creative team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of creative production workflows across digital, social, print, and integrated marketing campaigns.
- This position may be based in either the United States or Canada. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in their country of residence on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of sports marketing, brand campaigns, and revenue-generating initiatives.
- Experience supporting multi-market or large-scale campaigns.
- Experience working in sports, entertainment, media, or agency environments.
- Knowledge of the PWHL and the professional women's sports landscape.

Flexibility and Travel
