JOB DESCRIPTION:
The PWHL has an immediate sales position available for the right candidate to be part of our Corporate Partnerships team. We are looking for a Manager, Partnership Sales who is highly motivated and will work hard to prospect and secure new team partners for the league. The ideal candidate has a track record of overachievement working in a sales environment selling to moderately sized corporate accounts, with a focus on local markets across the four U.S. teams. They are willing to build their portfolio of clients through cold calls, prospective leads and local market research. 

 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Proactively identify and engage new local team partners through strategic outreach and relationship-building.
·       Research and generate leads with companies with potential to advertise and sponsor sports properties in the four US markets (New York, Boston, St. Paul/Minneapolis / Seattle).
·       Develop and customize sales presentations to clients and agencies.   
·       Orchestrate presentations and facilitate meetings with clients.  
·       Manage and foster top level relationships with clients to build trust while educating them on the PWHL league and team opportunities.
·       Work closely with the Corporate Partnership Activation team to ensure that fulfillment and delivery of contract requirements are met with exceptional service.
·       Sell a diverse cross-mix of sponsorship rights & activation including but not limited to traditional media, in-arena, community and digital media assets.   
·       Meet agreed-upon sales budgets.
·       Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for partners.
·       Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align on assets, partnership goals and delivering value.
·       Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
·       Represent the league and teams with professionalism and enthusiasm in external and internal communications and meetings.
·       Work daily within a CRM system to track and update prospecting, pitches, and sales.
·       Provide regular communication, including sales reporting, with manager(s) and sales team.
·       Provide sales support as needed, including research, proposal development, concept ideation, new projects etc.  
·       Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
·       Limited travel, when necessary.
·       Other duties as assigned.
 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

·       A minimum of 3 years of sponsorship sales experience in the sports and entertainment industry is required.
·       College and/or Bachelor's Degree is required.
·       Post Secondary or Master’s degree in the field of sports business, is preferred.
·       Experience using Microsoft Suite.
·       Proficient in using design platforms to create sponsorship presentations, with added value from hands-on experience with Canva.
·       Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.   
·       Must be well organized and demonstrate an ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.   
·       Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.  
·       A positive, team-first approach, incorporating integrity, accountability, professionalism and resilience.
·       Able to take direction and show initiative in a fast-paced environment.
·       Understanding of the sports sponsorship market and sound working knowledge of advertising in both traditional and digital media.
·       Ideal candidate is based in one of the four US markets (New York, Boston, St. Paul/Minneapolis, or Seattle).
·       Must be able to work remotely.
 
COMPENSATION:

 Annual Salary: The annual salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 USD. 
 

Position includes participation in all welfare, perquisites, fringe benefit, insurance, retirement and other benefit plans, practices, policies and programs, made available by the league as may be in effect from time to time.
