Position Summary
The Manager, Live Events plays a key role in delivering best-in-class live game experiences and league-wide events, ensuring consistency, creativity, and operational excellence across all PWHL productions. Reporting to the Director, Game Presentation and Events, this role supports both day-to-day game presentation operations and the planning and execution of major league events.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Game Presentation & Production
- Build and manage game day rundowns, scripts, and show timing
- Coordinate with broadcast partners to align timing, cues, and execution
- Manage league-wide templates, tools, and standardized production documents
- Liaise between creative teams, motion graphics, and club staff
- Support show reviews, performance evaluations, and feedback tracking
- Train and onboard new staff into game presentation systems and standards
- Identify trends and recommend improvements to game presentation quality and consistency
League Events Planning & Execution
- Plan and execute large-scale sports and entertainment events, including league tentpole moments and neutral site games
- Build and manage show documents, scripts, timelines, and backstage flow for complex events
- Coordinate fan activations, ceremonies, and in-venue programming
- Serve as a key on-site contact for event logistics, guest management, and real-time troubleshooting
- Manage event inventory, shipping, props, signage, and branded assets across locations
- Collaborate with creative, marketing, and operations teams to bring event vision to life
- Manage VIPs, hospitality flow, and guest experiences for league-driven events
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in live sports production, game presentation, or large-scale live events
- Experience building and executing live show rundowns, including scripting, cueing, and managing in-arena production flow
- Strong understanding of live event production systems and broadcast coordination
- Proven ability to manage staff, talent, and execution in fast-paced live environment.
- Experience planning and executing large-scale league events or fan engagement activations
- Strong organizational, communication, and on-site problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required
- This position may be based in either the United States or Canada. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in their country of residence on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in professional or elite-level women's sports
- Familiarity with hockey game presentation formats and league operations
- Experience with multi-market or league-wide event coordination

Flexibility & Travel
This role is fully remote with the ability to work independently and effectively in a distributed team environment. The Manager, Live Events must be available on-site for league-produced games and events, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and non-traditional hours based on game and event schedules. Occasional travel for league events or support for out-of-market games is required.
