POSITION SUMMARY:
The Professional Women’s Hockey League is seeking an experienced and passionate individual for the Ecommerce Merchandising Manager position. The Ecommerce Merchandising Manager will assist the Merchandising department with various product, inventory, and site pagination functions. Responsibilities include curating and managing all aspects of our online store presence, ensuring a seamless and engaging shopping experience for our customers across the US and Canada. You will collaborate closely with the marketing, operations, and finance teams to drive sales, optimize inventory levels, and enhance overall site performance. These responsibilities and tasks will be coordinated with and supervised by the League’s Vice President of Merchandising.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and execute merchandising strategies to drive sales and maximize profitability across dual country platform, in Partnership with Vice President.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment.
  • Implement inventory forecasting and replenishment strategies to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Optimize product listings, including product descriptions, imagery, and categorization, to enhance discoverability and conversion rates.
  • Analyze sales performance, customer behavior, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute campaigns, promotions, and merchandising initiatives.
  • Monitor and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs), such as conversion rate, average order value, and customer retention.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in ecommerce and merchandising.
  • Assists with general administrative tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s in business, marketing, ecommerce or related degree – Required.
  • Minimum of 3 years in ecommerce merchandising and inventory management, preferably in a retail or consumer goods environment.
  • Experience in the sports and entertainment industry – Preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, particularly Shopify, and proficiency in using ecommerce tools and analytics.
  • Must be proficient with computers and MS Office programs.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute merchandising strategies that drive sales and profitability.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage vendor relationships.
  • Highly motivated to continuously learn and improve department processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Possess a strong confidentiality ability skill set, with a demonstrated track record of handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. 
  • Ability to work long, irregular hours and weekends as dictated by event schedules and project timetables. 
  • Passion for sports and/or women's empowerment is a plus.
