Position Summary
The Hockey Operations Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Ottawa Charge team by delivering high-quality logistical, travel, and player-related support. Reporting to the Manager, Hockey Operations & Team Services, this individual helps create a seamless, professional, and supportive environment for players, coaches, and staff. The Hockey Operations Coordinator is detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to maintaining a high standard of care both on and off the ice. The hourly pay range for this position is $23.50 to $27.00 CAD. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Work directly with the Manager, Hockey Operations & Team Services to deliver exceptional player and family experiences.
- Work closely with the General Manager to support any requests or administrative needs that arise during the season.
- Serve as a liaison between players, coaches, the League, and the Ottawa Charge organization.
- Support Ottawa Charge players with day-to-day needs, as required.
- Assist in coordination of team and staff travel and lodging logistics.
- Plan and execute team-related events.
- Build and maintain a trusted network of local service providers in support of the team (i.e. catering, education, childcare services, real estate, etc.).
- Assist with operational logistics including ice bookings, meal scheduling, equipment shipments, product procurement, and reimbursement processes.
- Provide players and staff with communication and updates on business operations and upcoming event opportunities.
- Oversee player autograph sessions to ensure CBA guidelines are followed.
- Coordinate home game-day logistics such as parking pass distribution, snack table purchases, referees room set up, administrative needs of the coaching staff, team equipment arrivals/departures for the visiting team.
- Assist in credentialing, player onboarding, and HUB organization throughout the season.
- Support team-building events, community initiatives, and outreach programming.
- Support the League with logistics relating to Takeover Tour games and events involving the Ottawa Charge.
- Uphold a collaborative, player-first culture with integrity and professionalism.
- Be on-site and assist with all team equipment moves and support with day-to-day equipment operations tasks
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- This position is based in Canada. The individual filling this role must reside in or be willing to move to Ottawa, ON for the duration of the contract. The PWHL does not provide Visa sponsorship for this position nor do they reimburse moving costs

Flexibility & Travel
This is an on-site role based in Ottawa, Ontario. The Hockey Operations Coordinator will work from the team’s practice and game facility. Evening, weekend, and holiday work is expected during the season.
