Position Summary 
The Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) is seeking an experienced and passionate Social Media Manager for the New York Sirens. This role is responsible for managing all New York Sirens social media channels, creating engaging content, and growing the team's fan base. The position supports all elements of the PWHL ecosystem, including ticket sales, partnerships, and broadcast. You will execute social media and digital marketing strategies, create content across platforms, foster an engaged online community, and report on results to inform future strategies. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities 
  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategy aligned with league objectives 
  • Create and curate compelling content calendars across all social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) 
  • Produce creative content including photos, videos, and graphics that showcase the team's personality and achievements 
  • Lead real-time live coverage of all games throughout the season 
  • Foster vibrant online community through active engagement with fans 
  • Collaborate with PWHL marketing team and internal stakeholders to maintain consistent brand voice 
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with influencers and brands 
  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics to drive data-informed recommendations 

Required Qualifications 
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field 
  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager, preferably in sports or entertainment industry 
  • Strong copywriting skills with ability to craft engaging, on-brand content 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud platforms 
  • Ability to shoot and edit photo and video content 
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools 
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail 
  • Ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment 
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required to cover live events 

Preferred Qualifications 
  • Experience in professional sports or entertainment industry 
  • Familiarity with hockey and/or women's professional sports 
  • Experience with influencer partnerships and brand collaborations 

Flexibility & Travel 
Candidate must be able to work on-site with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required to cover live events during the pre-season, regular season, and post-season.
