The Professional Women’s Hockey League is seeking a highly motivated, positive and resilient individual for the role of In-Arena DJ for the Boston Fleet. This position reports to the Game Presentation Manager.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the primary DJ for all Boston Fleet home games
- Ability to read the crowd and adjust music choices in real time to maintain energy and engagement
- Understand the basic rules and structure of hockey to anticipate game flow and execute music cues at appropriate moments
- Coordinate with Game Presentation Director, PA announcer, and stage manager to time cues and segments
- Maintain a game-day audio rundown and ensure tracks are queued and executed on schedule
- Ensure music selections are family-friendly, league-compliant, and on-brand
- Load-in, set up, test, and load-out DJ equipment as needed (or interface with in-house Audio/Visual systems and personnel)
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school degree
- 1-2 years Sports or radio DJ experience
SKILLS, ABILITIES & OTHER ATTRIBUTES:
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and work collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Adapt to live game changes effortlessly and foster spontaneous moments to maintain an upbeat and entertaining atmosphere
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required
- Candidate must be able to work on-site at the arena
- Experience DJing live events (sports, clubs, festivals, or public events preferred)
- Strong knowledge of music genres including pop, hip-hop, rock, EDM, and sports anthems
- Comfortable working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments with live timing
- Understanding the flow of the game and the pacing of sports presentation
