Overview:
 
The Philadelphia Flyers are looking for outgoing and enthusiastic applicants for our Grassroots Marketing team. This is a great part time opportunity for college students, recent graduates and individuals looking to break into the sports industry. Team members will work with the Marketing and Sales staff, learn about the business operations of a sports franchise, and build their resume as a representative of the Flyers organization.  
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Represent the Philadelphia Flyers at local events throughout the Philadelphia area, including fairs, street festivals, and community events. 
  • Coordinate and execute on-site activations including set up and take-down of team displays and managing fan-interactive experiences. 
  • Engage with fans and inform them on Philadelphia Flyers campaigns, ticket packages, community initiatives, and fan engagement opportunities. 
  • Support Philadelphia Flyers data collection efforts. 
  • Assemble event recaps and give feedback to Marketing staff on event success. 
  • Assist other Flyers Marketing initiatives as assigned. 
 
Qualifications: 
  • Must possess an engaging personality and enthusiastic attitude while interacting with fans, answering questions, and representing the Flyers brand. 
  • Must possess an exceptional team attitude, communication skills, work-ethic, and ability to multitask. 
  • Must be comfortable in a public setting. 
  • Must be able to lift items up to 50 lbs., assist with manual setup and take down at events, stand for long periods of time, and move frequently or quickly when needed. 
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and potentially holidays. 
  • Must be able to commit to working a minimum of two events per month for the duration of the position, June 2024-August 2024. 
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
