Major Responsibilities/Activities:

•    Install, repair, improve and maintain the facility audio / video equipment.
•    Perform set-up, operation, and strike of all facility A/V event needs.
•    Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on facility equipment.
•    Provide assistance to Predators production and technical services staff on hockey game days.
•    Assist with technical setup and provide tech support as needed for events at Ford Ice Centers. 
•    Install, repair, and maintain facility scoring system.
•    Install, repair, and maintain arena communication system.
•    Transport, assemble, maintain and repair equipment used in multimedia production.
•    Work with other departments and outside vendors to provide excellent customer service during arena events.
•    Works safely, quickly and efficiently to meet all deadlines.
•    Possess a team player mentality; must be able to adapt to changes and work in a multi-client environment.
•    Assist in other projects as assigned by management.  
•    Works Nights, Weekends, and Holidays during events as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

•    18 years old.
•    High School diploma or GED.
•    Two (2) year technical school or college degree in an audio or video field or equal number of years’ experience in the A/V field.
•    One to two (1-2) years’ experience at a multi-purpose public assembly facility or similar organization in an audio or video capacity.
•    Knowledge of camera and lighting techniques is essential, and familiarity with editing equipment and software may be required.
•    Basic knowledge of Audio and Video equipment is required.
•    Some experience in operation of machinery including, but not limited to, forklift, Cushman, bobcat, and other light duty machinery, and use various hand and power tools.
•    Prior conversion or event experience preferred.
•    Ability to read and write and to follow written and oral instructions and complete standardized checklist forms. 
•    Ability to work long and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
•    Required to work long hours on event days.
•    Ability to safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools.
•    Must be able to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
•    Basic computer skills required.
•    Valid driver’s license, possess a suitable driving history, be insurable by Power’s insurance carrier and have reliable transportation.
•    As a condition of employment, qualified applicant will be subject to a background check, including a criminal history check, driving history and character references.

Essential Physical Functions:
•    Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. 
•    Have good hearing and eyesight. 
•    Ability to meet the physical demands of the job including carrying, climbing, moving, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
•    Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others.
•    Ability to climb portable and fixed ladders.
•    Ability to work in extreme temperature changes from ice arena to outdoors in inclement weather. 
•    Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours per day. 
•    Ability to bend, kneel and work with arms raised for prolonged periods of time. 
•    Ability to climb over and into heavy equipment several times per day. 
•    Occasional working at heights above 10 ft. and up to 110 ft.
•    Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust.
•    Ability to wear face mask and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for long periods of time. 

Equipment Used: 

•    Forklifts, boom lifts, bobcat, and other light duty machinery as needed.
•    Various power and hand tools (including but not limited to sockets, wrenches, hammers, drills, impact wrench, allen wrenches, and screwdrivers).
•    Vitec IP System, D&B and JBL Sound Systems, Q-Sys, etc.
