Job Title: Street Team Member- Part Time 

Department: Amateur Hockey and Fan Development  

Job Reports To: Fan Development Specialist 

Status: Non- Exempt  

 

Job Description:  

The Nashville Predators are seeking qualified candidates for a Part-Time position on the Smashville Street Team for the 2023-2024 season. This position is within the Fan Development department and will focus heavily on expanding the Nashville Predators brand and growing the game of hockey within the Smashville community. As a member of the Street Team, be prepared to be great. We are looking for individuals who are engaging, professional, reliable, and motivated to go above and beyond. As a group, we want to build relationships and leave every fan encountered with a positive and memorable impression of the Nashville Predators. 

*Please note that this position is strictly event-based, and hours depend on the number of events scheduled. * 

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Set up, execution, and break down of a street hockey game zone, goalie challenge, stick handling race, hardest slap shot competition, and video game area. 
  • Positively represent and promote the Nashville Predators brand at home games and community appearances. 
  • Foster a fun, safe, and professional atmosphere at Nashville Predators home games and community appearances. 
  • Work all Nashville Predators home games. 
  • Willingness to travel around middle Tennessee for off-site events. 
  • Collect and report valuable feedback and insights after each event to provide back to the team supervisors. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Must be 18 years old.  
  • Have 80% availability for events/home games. 
  • Available to work flexible, non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, for home games, and various events in the community. 
  • Knowledge of the game of hockey. 
  • Previous promotional experience is a plus: previous experience working with a professional or collegiate sports team is a plus.  
  • Ability to lift, maneuver and carry objects weighing up to 75lbs. frequently
  • Must complete/or have already completed SafeSport – Core Training 
  • A desire to learn and work in the sports industry. 
  • Strong communication skills. 
  • Possess a professional manner while interacting with fans of all ages. 
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, possess a suitable driving history and be insurable by the Nashville Predators insurance carrier.
  • Must be detail-oriented and be able to focus on multiple tasks at once.  
  • Must be able to work outside in various conditions (Heat, cold, rain, etc.) 
  • As a condition of employment, qualified applicants will be subject to a background investigation, including a criminal history check, previous employment verification and character references.

  • Hockey equipment. 
  • EA sports equipment. 
  • Goalie nets. 
  • Puck shooter. 
  • Inflatable street hockey zone. 
  • SuperDeker Pro. 
  • Radar gun for hardest shot challenge.
