Program Overview
The Oklahoma Warriors NAHL and OKC Warriors NA3HL Internship Program is designed to provide hands-on experience in live sports broadcasting and media operations within a junior hockey organization. Interns will work directly with the media and production staff to support game broadcasts, content development, and overall game day presentation throughout the hockey season.

This internship offers practical exposure to hockey administration, organizational systems, internal communications, and game preparation in a fast-paced, high-performance sports environment. Interns will gain valuable experience supporting coaches behind the scenes while contributing to the success of the Oklahoma Warriors and OKC Warriors programs.

Program Objectives
·        Provide practical experience in hockey administration and coaching support.
·        Develop organizational, communication, and time management skills.
·        Expose interns to the daily workflows of a junior hockey coaching staff.
·        Foster professional growth through collaboration with coaches and hockey operations personnel.
·        Build leadership, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Internship Structure & Responsibilities
1. Coaching Administrative Support (Primary Focus)
·        Assist coaches with scheduling, calendar management, and travel coordination.
·        Prepare and organize practice plans, game notes, and internal documents.
·        Maintain player contact information, eligibility records, and team databases.
·        Coordinate communication with players, staff, and families as directed.
·        Assist with league paperwork, compliance documentation, and roster records.
2. Hockey Operations Support
·        Organize scouting reports, video clips, and player evaluation materials.
·        Support recruiting and prospect tracking databases.
·        Assist with team logistics, equipment coordination, and operational checklists.
·        Maintain digital and physical filing systems.
3. Game Day Operations
·        Assist with lineup sheets, statistical reports, and bench materials.
·        Coordinate game-day administrative tasks for coaches and staff.
·        Provide operational support wherever needed throughout events.
Learning Outcomes
·        Gain hands-on experience in hockey administration and coaching support.
·        Develop organizational and communication skills in a professional sports setting.
·        Learn the fundamentals of roster management, league compliance, and team logistics.
·        Build professional experience within junior hockey operations.
·        Strengthen attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
Skills & Qualifications
·        Currently pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
·        Strong organizational and administrative skills.
·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
·        Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
·        Positive, dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
·        Knowledge of hockey operations is preferred but not required.
Internship Duration
This internship will span the full hockey season from September through April. Interns will work flexible hours based on the team schedule, including nights, weekends, and home games.
Because game nights provide the majority of hands-on learning opportunities, interns should plan to be present for most of the Oklahoma Warriors and/or OKC Warriors home games and team events throughout the season.

Multiple internship positions are available.
Compensation
This is an unpaid internship; however, college credit may be earned if applicable through the intern’s academic institution.
