Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and creative Writing Intern to join our team. This is an unpaid internship, ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in sports writing, journalism, and social media content creation. The intern will work closely with our media and communications team to produce engaging content that highlights our players, games, and community involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Write game previews, recaps, and feature articles for our website and social media platforms.
Attend all NAHL and NA3HL home games, and monitor away games
Conduct interviews with players, coaches, and staff.
Assist in the creation and editing of press releases and newsletters.
Contribute to the development of social media content and marketing campaigns.
Attend home games and events to provide live coverage and gather content.
Collaborate with the media team to brainstorm and pitch story ideas.

Qualifications:

Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
Passion for hockey and sports in general.
Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Journalism, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field.
