About the New Jersey Titans

The New Jersey Titans are a proud member of the North American Hockey League (NAHL). Committed to excellence both on and off the ice, the New Jersey Titans won the Robertson Cup National Championship in 2022 and have helped develop over 200 collegiate and professional players since their founding in 2015.

We are looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Intern to join our team and help us engage with our fans and community for the upcoming 2024-25 season. This internship is designed for college students interested in gaining experience in the sports world.

Responsibilities

Content Creation: Develop engaging content for various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) including graphics, videos, and written posts.
Social Media Management: Schedule and publish posts, monitor engagement, and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.
Analytics: Track and analyze social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns and provide insights for improvement.
Campaign Support: Assist in the planning and execution of social media campaigns, promotions, and contests.
Game Day Coverage: Provide live updates, photos, and videos during games and events to keep fans engaged.
Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and communications team to ensure brand consistency and align social media efforts with overall marketing strategies.
Research: Stay updated on the latest social media trends and best practices to keep our content fresh and relevant.
Community Engagement: Engage with fans, followers, and community members to build a strong online presence and foster a sense of community.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college/university program in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Creative mindset with the ability to generate new ideas and content.
Basic graphic design skills (experience with tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. is a plus).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for hockey and sports is a plus.
