Photography Internship
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and creative Photography Intern to join our team. This is an unpaid internship, ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in sports photography, photo editing, and visual content creation. The intern will work closely with our media and communications team to produce engaging visual content that highlights our players, games, and community involvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality photographs of games, practices, player portraits, and behind-the-scenes content
- Edit and color-correct images for various platforms, including our website and social media
- Create compelling photo galleries and promotional images for our website and social media platforms
- Must attend NAHL and NA3HL home games and events to capture live photography and gather content
- Deliver select game photos quickly for immediate social media use during games
- Manage and organize photo files and media assets
- Collaborate with the media team to develop and pitch photography concepts and visual storytelling ideas
- Contribute to the development of social media photo content and marketing campaigns
Qualifications
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Photography, Photojournalism, Visual Arts, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong photography skills, including composition, lighting, and action capture, with experience using professional camera equipment.
- Proficiency in photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar.
- Passion for hockey and sports in general.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
