Summary
The North American Hockey League (NAHL) is seeking writing/editorial content interns for the 2025-26 season. Collaborating with the NAHL media team, this is a writing-intensive position as the candidates will publish written material on the NAHL, NA3HL and NAPHL websites and published materials at league events. Candidates must be organized, responsible, professional and punctual.
Responsibilities
- Write NAHL & NA3HL game recaps
- NAHL, NA3HL & NAPHL Commitment stories for use on league websites
- Feature stories on players, coaches and staff for website and printed publications
- Intern may interact with executives, management, players, coaches and staff of NAHL member clubs. The candidates will be expected to act in a professional manner at all times
Minimum Qualifications
- Previous sports-writing experience
- Knowledge of the sport of hockey preferred
- Time management skills and the ability to track multiple games/projects at once
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and game nights as assigned
- Strong communication skills in collaboration with the NAHL media team
- Intern must be pursuing a degree in journalism, creative writing, communications or a related discipline
- Intern must be a college student
