Duties and Responsibilities:
Rules and Regulations
- Must have a working knowledge of Rules and Regulations for NAHL, NA3HL and USA Hockey.
- Must be able to correctly apply rules to a wide variety of scenarios and communicate league rules in an accurate and clear manner.
- Assist Manager of Hockey Operations in responding to NAHL/NA3HL coach inquiries.
Keep accurate records for both NAHL and NA3HL
- Player Trades, Tenders, Affiliate Players, Injured Reserve, Disciplinary Infractions and Progressive Suspensions, Draft Picks, USHL Compensation Claims.
- Assist the Manager of Hockey Operations with the creation and distribution of Daily Hockey Operations Reports for NAHL and NA3HL, Monday thru Friday.
- Assist the Manager of Hockey Operations with updating the Rink Net Central Registry Program (NAHL Only)
- Assist the Manager of Hockey Operations to manage and coordinate all aspects of NAHL and NA3HL Player Entry Drafts.
NAStat Administrator for NAHL and NA3HL
- Maintain Accurate Rosters
- Manage Statistical Updates
- Manage Schedule Changes
- Assist Manager of Hockey Operations with team inquiries (including game night staff)
Schedule
- Assist the Manager of Hockey Operations in the Management of Master League Schedules for NAHL and NA3HL
- Assist the Manager of Hockey Operations with the Management of Schedule Changes and Notifications
Meetings and Events
- Attend All NAHL, NA3HL and NAPHL Showcases and Events.
- Assist in the management of all Showcase Schedules
- Assist in event management
- Assist all coaches and players at events
Assist the Manager of Hockey operations with various other data tracking projects as needed
including but not limited to:
including but not limited to:
- Weekly Department of Player Safety, Supplemental Discipline, Fine and Accumulation Reports.
- Maintaining up to date contact lists for personnel in NAHL, NA3HL and NAPHL, Managing Player Nominations for Top Prospects events, etc.
- Tracking player demographics for NAHL, NA3HL and NAPHL.
- Manage and Maintain NAHL, NA3HL and NAPHL Private Sites
- Various other Projects as assigned by Commissioner or his designee.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be highly organized, have excellent interpersonal skills, have an even keeled temperament, a strong work ethic and be able to work independently and with others.
- Experience at the NCAA, NAHL and/or USHL level preferred.
- Knowledgeable on junior/college recruiting policy and requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Dependable, reliable and detailed oriented.
- Ability to effectively manage/coordinate simultaneous projects, and successfully prioritizes multiple tasks with good judgment, high sense of urgency.
- Ability to meet new challenges with an open mind and an optimistic response.
- Must have a flexible schedule to include weekends, nights and events as needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
- Achieved a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
