Position Overview:

The Minnesota Mallards are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Coach to lead our NAHL team with a proven track record of coaching success at the junior or collegiate level. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Leadership: Establishing culture, earning trust and leading with integrity and a high degree of professionalism.

• Culture Building: Establishing an environment of accountability, character, and competitive excellence.

• Communication: Being able to interact with players, staff, advisors, media and the league in a professional manner.

• Strategic Acumen: High-level hockey IQ, tactical versatility, deep systems knowledge and in-game adaptability.

• Player Development: Experience with a variety of development tools with an emphasis on video analysis and analytics to elevate individual development and team performance.

• Player Advancement: Strong network and relationships to help our players advance to NCAA and professional levels.

• Recruiting: Must possess a strong network to help identify and attract top talent from across North America and internationally to build a competitive roster.

• Staff Management: Leading assistant coaches, skills and player development coaches along with other support staff.

• Community Engagement: Representing the organization professionally at events, with media, and within the local community.

• Organization & Compliance: Compliance with all NAHL, SafeSport and USA Hockey regulations

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years coaching experience at the junior, collegiate, or professional level.

• Strong understanding of player development and the junior hockey landscape.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

• Commitment to upholding the highest standards of sportsmanship and integrity.
