Security Valet (Part-Time) - $16.50 per hour 

The Security Valet plays a critical role in the smooth and secure operation of events at the RiverCentre, Grand Casino Arena, and TRIA Rink. This ensures secure, professional valet services while also partnering with loading-dock operations.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Provide safe and professional valet services.
    • Greet and welcome visitors to the loading dock.
    • Accommodate parkers by opening doors and assisting with baggage or other heavy items.
    • Park vehicles within the dock or parking ramp following the designated parking plan.
    • Conduct security vehicle inspection.
    • When assigned, collect and label keys to ensure safe and efficient return.
    • Operate vehicles safely and responsibly.
  • Assist with loading dock operations.
    • Direct traffic within the loading dock.
    • Assist in coordinating parking plans to maximize safety, security, and efficiency.
    • Assist with other loading dock duties as needed or directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Position Requirements:

Formal Education & Certification:

    • Valid Driver’s License required.
    • Able to pass a Background and Motor Vehicle Records Check.

 

Knowledge & Experience:

    • Six to twelve months of valet experience or equivalent experience preferred.
    • Understanding of traffic flow and parking regulations.
    • Proficient in motor vehicle safety precautions preferred.

  • Ability to make sound decisions and act quickly in stressful situations.
  • Proven reliability, dependability, and flexibility.
  • Able to move at a fast pace.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.

Work Conditions:

  • Available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Schedule is based on event business needs.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing stairs, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • May be exposed to inclement weather; a coat will be provided.
