Press Box Public Address Announcer (Part-Time) - $15.97 per hour 

The Press Box Public Address Announcer plays a key role in delivering timely, accurate, and professional announcements to media personnel during Minnesota Wild home games. This position ensures that real-time game updates and critical operational information are clearly communicated, supporting both the flow of the game and the accuracy of media coverage. By maintaining high standards and coordination with game operations and media staff, the announcer helps create a seamless and informed experience for all press box attendees.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Deliver clear, concise, and professional announcements to media personnel in the press box during Minnesota Wild home games.
  • Communicate real-time game information, including starting lineups, scoring updates, penalties, player changes, and other relevant in-game details.
  • Relay critical operational or procedural announcements as directed by game operations staff, NHL officials, or team communications.
  • Coordinate with the game night staff and media relations team to ensure accuracy and timing of all press box announcements.
  • Ensure all announcements adhere to team, league, and broadcast standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Formal Education & Certification:

  • Some post-secondary education or equivalent experience.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Must have a strong knowledge of hockey including the ability to pronounce player names correctly.
  • Hockey experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working as a Public Address Announcer in television, in radio or on stage is preferred.

Work Conditions:

  • Available to work a majority of Minnesota Wild home games.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed for games and events.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
