Marketing Senior Director - $100(k) - $150(k) annually
We’re seeking a hands-on Marketing leader to drive our growth initiatives. As Senior Director of Marketing, you will establish a strategic direction for marketing initiatives and ensure that the strategy is executed to deliver measurable results. Responsible for leading a high-performing marketing function that fuels our revenue growth and brand. This role demands versatility—think ticketing campaign execution, digital marketing content execution, experiential marketing promotions in our local communities, website management, and reporting.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Departmental Leadership: Recruit, inspire, and manage a high-functioning marketing team; ensure clear roles and expectations; and foster a culture of creativity and accountability. Promote cross-functional collaboration with sales, community relations, and other stakeholders.
- Revenue Generation and Campaign Execution: Drives income through multiple channels, including ticket and sponsorship sales, season ticket and group sales packages via paid and own channels. Identify target audiences and tailor messaging accordingly. Collaborate with Sales to ensure timely and effective deliverables and follow-ups.
- Marketing and Fan Engagement: Working to increase attendance and engagement by overseeing the execution of strategic plans that align with the team's sales and marketing objectives. Ensuring that marketing communications are delivered seamlessly across all public-facing marketing channels.
- Strategic Planning: Develops and implements business strategies to expand the sports team's marketing reach.
- Marketing Automation & CRM: Work closely with our BI team while utilizing Salesforce to build workflows and campaigns. Oversee the marketing automation team to optimize drip campaigns, email distribution lists, and promotional campaigns.
- Website & App Management: Oversee web and app content team. Maintain and update web content— including landing pages and microsites. Implement on-page SEO best practices to boost organic visibility and engagement.
- Sales Enablement: Work alongside premium sales teams with updated decks, vertical-specific assets, and co-branded materials.
- Reporting: Track and analyze campaign performance: leads, cost per lead, pipeline contribution, MQL-to-SQL ratios. Prepare weekly/monthly dashboards for stakeholders. Identify opportunities to refine targeting, messaging, and channel distribution.
- Experiential Marketing: Oversee the experiential marketing team, ensuring the brand is maximizing in-market opportunities to generate leads and foster a positive team brand.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Formal Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's degree required in marketing, communications, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Knowledge & Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive marketing experience, including at least five years in a leadership role overseeing a marketing department.
- Demonstrated ability to craft marketing strategies and translate them into integrated campaigns that drive measurable growth, with a track record of improving lead generation, pipeline velocity, and brand awareness.
- Deep hands-on knowledge of marketing automation and project management platforms (i.e., Salesforce and Wrike), advertising channels, and SEO/SEM best practices. Experience optimizing sales funnels. Knowledge of AI is preferred.
- Comfortable working with data to track KPIs, interpret results, and iterate campaigns. Proficiency in web and app analytics tools and the ability to manage budgets and forecasts.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively to executives, team members, stakeholders, and partners. Proven ability to recruit, develop, and mentor high-performing teams.

Work Conditions:
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed for games and events.
