Team Services Manager - $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 Annually

Position Summary: The Team Services Manager for Minnesota Major League Volleyball leads the day-to-day management of team operations, working closely with the Head Coach to support logistics, scheduling, and all aspects of volleyball operations. This role is central to building a high-performance environment by overseeing travel, player services, and operational systems that enable athletes and coaches to focus on training and competition. The Director also serves as the primary liaison between coaching staff, players, league officials, and organizational leadership to ensure seamless communication and execution across all areas.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Manage team operations, administration, and league coordination.
    • Work closely with the Head Coach to plan and execute all team operational needs.
    • Coordinate practice schedules, training times, and facility usage.
    • Assist the Head Coach with operational planning related to training, competition, and team activities.
    • Manage the team calendar and internal communication systems.
    • Coordinate equipment and training environment needs with coaching and medical staff.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between the team and league operations.
    • Ensure compliance with league operational policies and procedures.
    • Assist with roster management, documentation, and league reporting requirements.
    • Support internal administrative processes and operational planning.
  • Coordinate player support, logistics, travel, and game-day execution.
    • Plan and manage all team travel including flights, hotels, ground transportation, and itineraries.
    • Prepare detailed travel plans and distribute schedules to players and staff.
    • Coordinate training facilities during travel periods.
    • Manage per diem distribution and travel documentation.
    • Support onboarding of domestic and international athletes and staff.
    • Coordinate player housing and relocation logistics.
    • Assist players with settling into the local community.
    • Coordinate team meals, transportation, and day-to-day player support.
    • Work with legal partners and team leadership on visa processes for international athletes and coaches.
    • Coordinate documentation and timelines related to international player eligibility.
    • Assist international players with travel and relocation needs.
    • Coordinate match-day logistics with arena and event operations staff.
    • Manage team arrival and departure logistics.
    • Oversee bench credentials, locker room preparation, and operational checklists.
    • Ensure the team environment is fully prepared for competition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Formal Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sport Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Three to five years of experience working in collegiate or professional sports operations.
  • Experience coordinating travel logistics.
  • Experience working in professional or collegiate volleyball.
  • Experience supporting international athletes.
  • Familiarity with visa processes for international players and coaches.
  • Experience managing team travel and operations in a professional sports environment.

Work Conditions:

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed for games and events.
  • Extensive travel required; position expected to travel with the team and attend all games.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc. 
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
