MN Women's Major League Volleyball - Coordinator, Social Media - $40,000- $50,000 annually
The Social Media Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution of the team’s social and digital presence by creating, publishing, and managing engaging content across social platforms, the team website, and mobile app to grow and connect the fan base. This role serves as a frontline voice of the brand—interacting with fans online and in person at games, clinics, events, and community activations—while coordinating timely, on-brand content across digital channels to ensure a cohesive fan experience. The position is important because it fuels consistent fan engagement, extends the team’s reach to new audiences, and supports broader marketing and revenue initiatives through compelling, real-time storytelling.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Create, schedule, and manage engaging content across digital and social media platforms to grow and maintain audience engagement.
- Assist with scheduling and posting photos, videos, articles etc. to all major social media platforms on a day-to-day basis that will engage and grow our various channels.
- Schedule and post content for the team account.
- Keep up with daily maintenance on the team account.
- Craft brand or product stories that will engage audiences on an emotional level.
- Coordinate the team website and app.
- Manage team website and app, ensuring accurate, timely, on-brand content that drives user engagement.
- Support and execute omni-channel marketing campaigns across app, email, social, and web platforms.
- Schedule, post, and maintain daily web and app content including press releases, photos, videos, and articles.
- Provide game-night coverage and occasional written content for home and away games.
- Create and deploy online polls, forms, surveys, and register-to-win initiatives.
- Troubleshoot technical issues across web and app platforms.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define timelines, requirements, mock-ups, user journeys, and incorporate feedback.
- Engage directly with fans and represent the brand at live events, community programs, and in-game experiences to deepen fan relationships and visibility.
- Interact with fans, run in-game contests, and cover the action live.
- Attend any events that require content support.
- Support strategic marketing initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.
- Support strategies for unlocking new audiences and revenue opportunities while growing engagement with current fans.
- Execute fan-focused and data-driven strategies with short deadlines.
- Work closely with teams across the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Formal Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or other related field, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge & Experience:
- One to five years of coordinating social media campaigns, preferably in a sports environment.
- Exposure using social media analytics is a plus.
- Experience in graphic design, preferably using Adobe Creative Suite products.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.).
- Experience managing content for accounts on Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Tik Tok and YouTube.
- Previous experience working with a content calendar is preferred but not required.
- Experience with project management systems.

- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
