Vice President of Marketing - $150,000 - $200,000 annually
We are seeking a Vice President of Marketing with a strong digital marketing and advertising foundation to lead brand growth, fan acquisition, and revenue generation. This executive will craft marketing vision while bringing hands-on expertise in digital strategy, paid media, social platforms, and data-driven decision making. This role is critical to driving revenue growth by aligning data-driven marketing strategies with sales priorities to increase attendance, sponsorships, and long-term fan loyalty. By ensuring integrated brand storytelling, scalable marketing operations, and measurable performance across all channels, the Vice President, Marketing directly enables the organization’s business growth and market impact.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Implement digital marketing strategy and vision.
- Demonstrated expertise in digital marketing strategy, including audience acquisition and growth across major platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Meta, search, and evolving social channels.
- Proven experience leading paid digital advertising efforts, including budget management, targeting strategy, creative optimization, and performance measurement tied to fan growth and revenue outcomes.
- Strong command of marketing analytics, attribution, and fan data, with the ability to evaluate performance, optimize customer acquisition costs, and increase lifetime fan value.
- Ability to translate brand strategy into compelling, digital-first content and storytelling that engages both core hockey fans and new audiences, with a particular emphasis on social and short-form video.
- Lead marketing teams and steward the brand across all channels.
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-functioning marketing organization, including Content, Digital, Web/App, Marketing Automation, and Revenue Marketing teams.
- Establish clear roles, expectations, and performance standards while fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and collaboration.
- Provide strategic oversight of content team to ensure consistent voice, messaging, and visual identity across all public-facing channels.
- Promote strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Community Relations, Partnerships, BI, and other stakeholders.
- Drive revenue growth, support sales efforts, and increase fan engagement.
- Drive revenue through integrated marketing strategies supporting ticket sales, sponsorships, season tickets, and group sales packages across paid and owned channels.
- Identify and segment target audiences, tailoring messaging to maximize conversion and engagement.
- Partner closely with Sales teams to ensure timely campaign execution, effective deliverables, and seamless lead follow-up.
- Support premium sales efforts with updated decks, vertical-specific assets, and co-branded marketing materials.
- Lead fan engagement initiatives designed to increase attendance, loyalty, and overall brand affinity.
- Define marketing strategy while overseeing campaign execution and experiential initiatives.
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that expand reach, increase attendance, and support organizational objectives.
- Ensure seamless delivery of marketing communications across all public-facing channels.
- Oversee experiential marketing initiatives to maximize in-market opportunities, generate leads, and create meaningful brand interactions.
- Measure performance, deliver insight, and continuously optimize marketing effectiveness.
- Track and analyze marketing performance metrics, including leads, cost per lead, pipeline contribution, and MQL-to-SQL conversion rates.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly dashboards for executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Use data-driven insights to refine targeting, messaging, channel mix, and campaign effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Formal Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Master’s degree or other advanced degree preferred.
Knowledge & Experience:
- At least ten years of progressive marketing experience.
- At least five years in senior leadership roles with responsibility for leading and scaling a marketing organization.
- Proven experience developing enterprise-level marketing strategies and translating them into integrated, multi-channel campaigns that drive measurable business outcomes, including lead generation, pipeline acceleration, revenue growth, and brand equity.

Work Conditions:
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed for games and events.
- Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.
