Talent Acquisition Specialist - $50(K) - $60(K) annually 

Position Summary: The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a vital role in attracting and hiring top talent across all Minnesota Sports & Entertainment entities by managing a smooth, consistent, and engaging recruitment process. This role supports everything from job postings and interviews to onboarding and employee record management, ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and hiring managers. By building strong talent pipelines and supporting key People Team programs, the Specialist directly contributes to organizational growth and a positive employee experience.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Deliver high-quality talent acquisition and recruitment support across all entities.
    • Work with managers to administer the talent acquisition process including the job posting, administering video interviews, recruitment materials, background checks, and offers.
    • Further educate managers on the recruitment process and applicant tracking system which allows for a positive, consistent, and timely experience.
    • Execute a transparent recruitment process and provide follow-up to candidates and hiring managers.
    • Implement and execute a campus relations strategy to build a bench of talent in Minnesota and Iowa.
    • Attend and represent the organization in multiple job fairs in Minnesota and Iowa to build a game-changing talent pipeline.
    • Manage the recruitment process for positions in Minnesota and Iowa including job posting, sourcing, phone interviews, scheduling, offers, onboarding, and first-day communication.
    • Execute hiring for interns for Minnesota Wild, Iowa Wild, and Minnesota Major League Volleyball.
  • Support onboarding, employee records, and programs to enhance the employee experience.
    • Assist with the administration of onboarding all new and transitioning employees, both part-time and full-time.
    • Execute the background check and motor vehicle processes for current and new employees.
    • Send, receive, communicate, and capture files for employee records.
    • Administer and train employee programs and assist in creating new People Team programs as needed.
    • Partner with the People Team to deliver a high level of service and expertise to employees of the Minnesota Wild, arena, Saint Paul RiverCentre, Tria Rink, the Iowa Wild, and Minnesota Major League Volleyball.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Formal Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • PHR Certification is a plus.

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • One to three years of experience in a talent acquisition function or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience managing talent acquisition processes, such as sourcing, hiring, terminations, referrals, campus relations, etc.
  • Basic understanding and working knowledge of a Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and/or an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is required. Prior knowledge and use of Dayforce is a plus.
  • Previous experience using a video interviewing platform, including WedgeHR, is a plus.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws.

Work Conditions:

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed for games and events.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
