Senior Account Executive, Media Sales (Wild Corp. Partnership)
Senior Account Executive, Media Sales -Base salary of $65,000 - $70,000, with significant earning potential and the opportunity to exceed $125,000+ annually based on performance.
Position Summary: The Senior Account Executive, Media Sales drives advertising revenue for the Minnesota Wild by selling inventory across broadcast, television, and streaming platforms tied to game coverage and related programming. This role is critical in connecting brands with fans through integrated media solutions, leveraging strong regional relationships and a deep understanding of both traditional and evolving media channels. By collaborating across internal teams and partners, the position ensures cohesive, high-impact campaigns that maximize revenue and enhance the organization’s overall media strategy.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Drive advertising revenue and manage the end-to-end sales process.
- Drive local broadcast advertising revenue through the sale of Minnesota Wild game and related programming inventory.
- Sell advertising across over-the-air (OTA), linear television, and streaming broadcast platforms.
- Develop and execute sales strategies targeting regional and local advertisers.
- Manage the full sales cycle including prospecting, proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution.
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and revenue forecasting.
- Build client relationships, create integrated solutions, and collaborate to deliver strategic value.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with advertising agencies, brands, and media buyers across the Midwest market.
- Create customized advertising solutions integrating broadcast media with broader Minnesota Wild partnership assets.
- Work collaboratively with internal corporate partnership sales teams to bundle broadcast inventory with sponsorship opportunities.
- Stay current on evolving sports media distribution trends, including streaming, addressable advertising, and digital broadcast measurement.
- Provide clients with performance insights, campaign recaps, and strategic recommendations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Formal Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Knowledge & Experience:
- At least five years of media sales experience, preferably within sports, broadcast, or regional television.
- Proven experience selling OTA broadcast advertising.
- Demonstrated success selling linear television advertising inventory.
- Strong relationships with local and regional advertising agencies and media buyers.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple client relationships.
- Experience selling streaming and/or digital broadcast advertising inventory, highly preferred.
- Knowledge of sports media rights and local broadcast ecosystems.
- Experience integrating digital, social, and sponsorship assets with broadcast campaigns.
- Familiarity with audience measurement tools and ad tech platforms.
- Experience working with professional sports organizations, RSNs, or broadcast partners.
