Ticket Sales and Service Intern: $16.37 per hour
Position Summary: The Intern, Ticket Sales and Service for Minnesota Major League Volleyball plays an integral role in delivering an exceptional fan experience while supporting ticket sales, game-day operations, and community engagement initiatives. This position provides hands-on experience across multiple areas of professional sports, allowing interns to develop valuable skills in sales, customer service, event operations, and relationship building. By contributing to fan engagement and revenue-generating efforts, the intern helps strengthen the organization's connection with its supporters and drive the continued growth of professional volleyball in Minnesota.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Help to create an outstanding experience for fans by supporting customer service, game-day operations, and community engagement initiatives.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while creating memorable fan experiences.
- Support fan engagement initiatives through in-person interactions, phone calls, and digital communication.
- Respond to fan inquiries via email and assist with customer service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with season ticket member retention efforts by helping plan and execute special events, appreciation initiatives, and exclusive experiences.
- Support game-day operations, including arena setup, fan activations, and promotional events.
- Work home matches from designated sales and fan engagement locations within the arena to assist guests and promote ticket offerings.
- Represent Minnesota Major League Volleyball at community events, youth tournaments, and promotional appearances to increase brand awareness and build relationships with fans.
- Support ticket sales initiatives by generating new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective fans, and collaborating with internal departments to achieve organizational goals.
- Assist the ticket sales team by conducting outbound outreach to prospective season ticket members, group buyers, and corporate partners.
- Research and identify new sales leads for season memberships, group outings, premium seating, and special events.
- Help achieve individual and team sales goals through proactive communication and relationship building.
- Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and operations teams on daily projects, special initiatives, and event execution.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Formal Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Sales, Business Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Customer service and sales experience preferred.
- Sports industry experience preferred.
- Proficient computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with database management tools (i.e. CRM).

Work Conditions:
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed for games and events.
- Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
