Director, Ticket Sales and Service - Minnesota Women's MLV - $70,000 - $90,000 annually 

The Director, Ticket Sales provides strategic leadership to drive all aspects of ticket revenue generation through full season, partial plan, and group ticket sales. This role is essential for maximizing team performance, optimizing sales processes, and aligning department goals with organizational priorities. By collaborating cross-functionally and leveraging data-driven strategies, the Director plays a pivotal role in growing revenue, enhancing the fan experience, and fostering a high-performing sales culture.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the ticket sales team.
    • Lead and manage the ticket sales team to reach and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly individual and overall ticket revenue goals through sales of full season tickets, partial season tickets, and group tickets.
    • Direct, motivate, inspire, and coach the sales team to achieve individual and team goals, providing guidance and feedback to enhance individual sales methods.
    • Foster a positive workplace environment and develop an agile sales culture within the department.
    • Lead staff to ensure service levels and standards exceed fan expectations.
  • Drive sales performance through process management and operational excellence.
    • Oversee and drive the volume of various sales tactics (outbound phone calls, face-to-face appointments, email, etc.) and manage reporting of sales results for the entire sales department.
    • Oversee game day duties, including managing the Sales kiosk.
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all departments including Minnesota Wild ticket sales team to help facilitate and achieve annual sales goals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to execute data-driven sales strategies.
    • Partner with key stakeholders to implement ticket sales strategies based on available inventory.
    • Collaborate with other departments on ticket promotions and pricing to optimize ticket revenue across all sales channels.
    • Collaborate with other departments to develop data-informed ticket sales campaigns and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation through analytics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Formal Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • At least five years of sales experience.
  • Experience managing/leading a team of sales staff required.
  • Proficient computer skills required; experience with Archtics and Ticketmaster technology strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to make sales quotas, meet with sales leads and close sales. This position will actively sell while managing sales staff.

Work Conditions:

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed for games and events. 
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc. 
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
