Intern, Sales & Service Academy - $16.37 per hour 

Position Summary: The Sales & Service Academy will be ambitious, professional, self-motivated individuals. This team will be responsible for selling ticket memberships, groups, and single-game suites while developing and growing relationships with new and existing fans. They will help handle inbound calls on our mainline and the day-to-day execution of activities and events including providing support and assisting in game day needs.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Deliver exceptional service and support fan engagement initiatives.
    • Actively take inbound calls and provide world class customer service to fans.
    • Reply to emails that come into the Customer Service inbox.
    • Implement and set up initiatives to help retain Season Ticket Members, including events and other ‘day making’ initiatives.
    • Support with arena set up and game night initiatives.
  • Achieve sales goals through proactive outreach.
    • Meet or exceed both individual and team sales goals.
    • Actively research and prospect new sales leads for ticket packages, groups and suites.
    • Comfortable with making outbound phone calls to prospective Season Ticket Members or Group Buyers.
    • Ability to work game nights at the designated Sales space inside arena.
    • Represent the Minnesota Wild at community events to network and implement sales promotions.
    • Contribute positively to the Sales Team with day-to-day projects and needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Formal Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Sales, Business Management or related field, or equivalent experience.

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Customer service and sales experience preferred.
  • Sports industry experience preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with database management tools (i.e. CRM).

Work Conditions:

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed for games and events. 
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc. 
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
