Minnesota Major League Volleyball - Game Presentation Manager - $50,000 - $65,000 Annually 

Position Summary: The Game Presentation Manager is responsible for executing and overseeing live event presentation and in-game entertainment operations for Minnesota Major League Volleyball and supporting Minnesota Wild home events. This role manages game-day production elements, including show-calling, stage management, talent coordination, script development, and collaboration with control room, marketing, and operations teams to deliver seamless and engaging fan experiences. The position also supports strategic planning, cross-departmental initiatives, and creative development to enhance entertainment value, fulfill organizational objectives, and elevate the overall event atmosphere.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Execute and manage live event presentation and in-game entertainment operations.
    • Serve as primary show-caller for all Minnesota Major League Volleyball home matches, overseeing the seamless execution of all match day elements.
    • Serve as a stage manager for all Minnesota Wild home games, delivering engaging in-game experiences that align with the team brand, including headset communication, spotting, staging, and talent coordination.
    • Assist with timing and execution of all in-game entertainment elements for Volleyball and Wild, ensuring a seamless and engaging fan experience from pregame through postgame.
    • Coordinate and communicate with control room staff, promo crew, and arena operations to ensure smooth event execution.
    • Assist in coordinating event talent for Volleyball and Wild events, including PA announcers, hosts, anthem singers, and DJs.
    • Support programming and execution of video and LED content for all Volleyball and Wild events.
    • Assist in managing Game Presentation inventory, including props, prizes, and giveaways.
  • Develop and support game presentation planning, cross-department collaboration, and fan experience initiatives.
    • Develop scripts and rundowns for all Minnesota Major League Volleyball matches to ensure fulfillment of corporate partnerships, marketing initiatives, and ticketing and group sales obligations.
    • Maintain and update Game Presentation documents to ensure activations and event elements are scheduled and executed to support cross-departmental needs.
    • Collaborate effectively with marketing, sales, public relations, community relations, and operations teams to deliver a cohesive and elevated fan experience.
    • Contribute creative ideas and best practices to continuously elevate the overall entertainment experience for Volleyball and Wild.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Formal Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • At least two to three years of game presentation experience in a professional sports environment.
  • Experience with show-calling and script-writing preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining excellent attention to detail and delivering results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including internal staff, club personnel, and other external partners and vendors.
  • Project management skills to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to think outside the box and develop innovative concepts for in-game presentations.
  • Passionate about professional sports, and live events.

 

Work Conditions:

  • Flexible schedule and willingness to work unusual hours and perform multiple tasks (nights and weekends) by the demands of the NHL and MLV schedules.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed for games and events.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
