The Account Executive, Partnership Success and Premium Seating is responsible for identifying and engaging prospective customers, leading to successful conversion and relationship-building. Key duties include meeting with potential clients to assess their needs, creating tailored solutions, and emphasizing product features to address customer challenges. The role involves collaborating with internal teams, maintaining contact lists, and providing exceptional service to corporate partners. They will also support clients at events and work across departments to ensure smooth execution of all partnership responsibilities.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Prospect and engage new customers to drive sales growth.
- Identify prospective customers, lead generation and conversion.
- Contact new potential customers to discuss needs and opportunities.
- Meet with potential customers, listen to their needs, and create solutions that address their marketing and/or hospitality needs.
- Emphasize the features of products to highlight how they solve customer problems.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with corporate partners.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with current corporate partners.
- Service Corporate Partners with the highest level of Customer Service.
- Assist to upgrade current corporate partners to gain incremental revenue.
- Greet, support, and serve current and potential clients daily and at all home games.
- Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to continue relationships.
- Develop, present, and track sponsorship and partnership materials.
- Create and help maintain partnership proposals and recaps.
- Assist with tracking accurate account elements, sponsorship contracts, billing, fulfillment and contact information, as well as reports pertaining to proposals, contracts, and other account details into Sponsorship Management System.
- Assist with developing and researching promotional platforms and partnership strategies based on client objectives and goals.
- Support cross-departmental collaboration.
- Collaborate with colleagues in many different sectors.
- Assist, support and coordinate with internal departments in regard to all aspects of promoting and managing all other Iowa Wild department responsibilities; including, but not limited to, partnership assets, special projects and planning.
- Participate and support Iowa Wild events and partner events in addition to Iowa Wild games.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Marketing, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge & Experience:
- At least two years of a successful track record of achieving sales and client service goals in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Personal Attributes:
- Strong organizational, planning and implementation skills.
- Ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Ability to work well independently within team and service-oriented environments.
Work Conditions:
- Available traditional business hours in addition to evenings, weekends and/or holidays for games or events.
- Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
