The Senior Account Executive, Business Development is a full time, non-managerial, sales position responsible for generating business leads, selling ticketing packages, group packages, and initiating corporate sales conversations for the Los Angeles Kings. This position is responsible for developing and creating new relationships and working with an existing book of business to ensure top-level customer satisfaction and further generate referral-based business. Revenue goals will be established and monitored through regular meetings with the sales manager.


  • Prospect and generate leads for the Los Angeles Kings by utilizing lead lists, internet resources, and business organizations.
  • Effectively execute the business-to-business sales process through cold calls, setting meetings, conducting discovery, presenting product recommendations, and closing sales.
  • Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals and activity requirements; Ability and willingness to sell high value ticket packages in the greater Los Angeles marketplace.
  • Responsible for customer service and upgrading all partial ticket buyer accounts, managing the annual renewal process for Half Season and Quarter Season Packages Ticket accounts, and exceeding the highest standards in customer service; Maintain a high level of customer service for existing and new clients.
  • Perform “game day” responsibilities, including entertaining clients and prospects, as well as working at ticket sales tables.
  • Attend networking events to generate leads and close sales.
  • Special projects as assigned by management.
  • Research and generate new and creative sales ideas by analyzing best practices in the sports and entertainment industry.


The Senior Account Executive, Business Development must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skill and abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact professionally, diplomatically, and maturely with VIP’s as well as internal and external clients at all organizational levels are required.
  • High level of initiative, inner drive and attention to detail
  • Must have problem solving skills as well as excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a high-pressure environment
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned
  • Ability to work unsupervised and to function both independently and as a team member
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong existing client relationships and media sales experience are preferred
  • Ability to learn and master new software programs including Zoominfo, Outreach, Conversica and CRM.


  • High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS Degree Preferred)
  • 3+ years of prior sales experience is preferred

PAY SCALE: $26.44
