GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Director, Talent Acquisition & Employee Experience is a vital member of the People & Culture team who, in partnership with the Chief People Officer, drives talent acquisition, acts as the company’s cultural ambassador, internally and externally, to include development of employee engagement initiatives.

The Director, Talent Acquisition & Employee Experience reinforces the St. Louis Blues/Enterprise Center/Stifel Theatre mission, purpose and values through ongoing talent acquisition, talent engagement, and talent branding initiatives creating connected, inclusive, and engaged culture where people feel valued and empowered to be their best.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The position will collaborate with all department heads to identify staffing needs and develop innovative and best-in-class recruitment strategies to achieve the best talent for the organization.
• Strategic thinking, strong understanding of talent acquisition methodologies, and exceptional communication skills will be integral to creating a positive experience for candidates and everyone involved in the talent acquisition process.
• Develop and implement the talent acquisition strategy; develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract and retain high quality, diverse candidates.
• Utilize a variety of recruitment methods, including job boards, social media, networking events, LinkedIn, and employee referrals, to identify potential candidates.
• Consult on all communication on our website, social media pages, job descriptions and internal documents to ensure we use non-discriminatory language.
• Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of recruitment efforts, make date-driven decisions, and ensure continuous improvement.
• Create a positive employment brand strategy: Refine the brand strategy for talent acquisition to attract the best and brightest talent in collaboration with the marketing department.
• Set the social media communication strategy for different job profiles and functions in the organization.
• Manage the full recruitment cycle: Oversee the development and maintenance of job descriptions and job postings that accurately reflect the requirements and responsibilities of each position.
• Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing requirements and establish hiring goals and priorities, as well as provide guidance on best recruitment practices.
• Implement the onboarding process including sending offer letters, creating onboarding schedules, and collaborating with hiring managers on necessary training to ensure new hires are adequately educated on the St. Louis Blues benefits and other pertinent company information.
• Manage internship program to identify future talent; manage the St. Louis Blues summer internship program, including building strong relationships with universities and serving as a representative for the organization at career fairs, various on-campus events, and speaking engagements.
• Work with the Guest Experience Department to help with recruitment efforts for the part-time staff.
• Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the process.
• Identify and maintain positive vendor relationships: Identify, build, and maintain relationships with external; recruitment agencies and vendors to support recruitment efforts as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, HR or a Business or related field.
• 5 + years of experience in areas of talent acquisition, change management, employee communications and/or organizational development. 2 years of relevant experience implementing new initiatives.
• High emotional intelligence and unquestionable integrity.
• Leadership/management experience
• Flexibility and the ability to adjust to a constantly changing work environment is necessary.
• Confident, engaging and resilient, comfortable having difficult and courageous conversations.
• Ability to handle complex issues with discretion and handle sensitive information.
• Collaborative and team oriented though able to work independently. Takes initiative and moves projects forward to completion.
• Creative and strategic thinker who is proficient in problem solving; possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, analyze data, understand trends, develop recommendations for action based on analysis. 
• Experience hiring, training, scheduling, managing, and motivating staff.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work with a diverse population.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong presentation and group facilitation skills.
• Knowledge of computer programs i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, ISS 24/7, Time and attendance, etc
• Strong organization and time management skills

CONTINUING EDUCATION:
• Attend on-going education/training on recruitment/on-boarding processes as well as diversity efforts.
