WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

SUMMARY
As a key member of the Information Technology department, this individual will be responsible for managing and delivering small to mid-sized projects. They will collaborate with colleagues across the league, teams, and external vendors, while also beginning to develop leadership capabilities through coaching and mentorship.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
Project Management
  Initiation
  • Partner with business owners to define clear project scope and objectives
  • Support vendor selection by identifying key requirements, coordinating demonstrations, and documenting evaluation feedback
  • Assist IT leadership in developing project budgets, forecasting costs, and tracking actual expenditures
  • Gain a deep understanding of business needs and processes to accurately define project goals

  Planning
  • Create detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and document business requirements, including “As-Is” process mapping
  • Define and document the “To-Be” design with clear business and technical justifications, validated by senior IT leadership
 
  Execution
  • Lead regular status meetings, prepare agendas, status reports, and stakeholder presentations
  • Accurately document discussions, decisions, change requests, and risks in a timely manner
  • Identify and escalate risks, decisions, issues, and actions to senior leadership as appropriate
  • Support senior IT in managing stakeholder expectations through effective communication
  • Motivate and guide project teams to meet goals, fulfill responsibilities, and achieve milestones
  • Collaborate with technical teams and solution architects to design solutions aligned with business objectives
  • Ensure quality assurance of deliverables before release to business users
  • Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), clearly document issues and expected outcomes, and coordinate with developers to resolve them
  • Assist in the development and execution of change management and communication plans
  • Implement organizational change management strategies to enhance user adoption
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business requirements

  Closure
  • Lead project retrospectives and apply lessons learned to future initiatives
  • Provide implementation and post-launch support, ensuring a smooth handoff to business owners
  • Complete all operational documentation and transition support responsibilities to the ServiceDesk

Additional Responsibilities
  • Contribute to project prioritization discussions based on business needs

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge Areas/Experience
Required
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Project Coordinator, Business Analyst, or similar role
  • Proven understanding of project management principles
 
Technical Proficiency 
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Project
  • Experienced with Visio or similar workflow/process mapping tools
  • Familiarity with JIRA, GitLab Issues, or other project planning and development tools is a plus

 Education/Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university or equivalent experience

SALARY RANGE:
 $80-100K
 
Actual base pay for a successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to: experience/training, market demands, and geographic location.
