WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU
SUMMARY
Can you edit high-end sports content than can hype up a fanbase? Or are you a storyteller with a passion for producing compelling hockey content? The National Hockey League is looking for an experienced and well-rounded Producer/Editor to join the NHL Productions team as we get set to drop the puck on the 2025-26 NHL season!
The Producer/Editor will be a full-time position within the video production unit of NHL Productions & NHL Original Productions creating long and short-form content for various NHL platforms, departments, corporate partners, and broadcast networks.
Candidate must have 5+ years professional experience with a proven track record of story-telling and the ability to produce and edit a wide variety of sports-based content – including, but not limited to, promos, hype videos, sizzle reels, short-form features, documentaries, and behind-the-scenes content. Shooting and graphic design skills are a big plus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Thorough understanding of all aspects of post-production for timely execution of projects including editing, color correction, audio mixing, exporting, and file management
- Broad knowledge and passion for sports and, especially, the NHL
- Ability to communicate with senior staff, fellow producers, and clients for optimal production workflow
- Self-starter, who can work on their own and in a team environment
- Ability to accept creative direction and implement those directives in a cordial and professional manner
- Camera work may be required for field producing on their own and possibly alongside camera crews as a second camera
- Flexible working hours dependent on assigned projects and the NHL schedule (including nights and weekends as needed)
- Travel will be required
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge Areas/Experience
Required
- 5+ years in network, cable or league production and or equivalent
- Impressive portfolio of work with the strong creative and technical skills to back it up
- Extensive experience in Adobe Premiere Pro and the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
- Color grading in Adobe Premiere and/or Davinci Resolve
- Ability and willingness to learn new production skills and technologies and integrate those skills within the NHL Productions workflow
- Proven ability to work closely with clients in a broadcast post-production environment
Preferred
- Field camera experience with DSLR, GoPro, Broadcast cameras a plus
- French or additional languages a plus
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

SALARY RANGE:
$90-110K
Actual base pay for a successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to: experience/training, market demands, and geographic location.
