WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

SUMMARY
The National Hockey League is looking for our next class of interns to join our 2026 Summer Internship Program. 
 
The Player Relations Intern will assist remotely and on site at Stanley Cup Final with media operations including press box set up, press conference room staffing and media check in.  Assist on site at NHL Awards/Draft with media operations including staff media riser, interview room and draftee escort. Additionally, assist in the Player coordination for European Player Media Tour, Player Orientation and North American Player Media Tour which would include editing, proofing, and drafting Player itineraries as well as reviewing Player travel/hotel accommodations. The intern will also assist in creating Event Book summaries for 2025-2026 events including: Global Series, Winter Classic, Stadium Series, Stanley Cup Playoffs, and Awards/Draft. This role will potentially require international travel in the event of a Canadian team playing in the Stanley Cup finals. In that case, the intern would need a valid passport.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Preferred
  • Background in Sports Marketing, Journalism, or Public Relations

 Education/Certifications
  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in an accredited university/college pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Candidates should be entering their junior or senior year of undergraduate study

All of our internships are paid at $20/hour. WE DO NOT OFFER SCHOOL CREDIT.
