WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

SUMMARY
The National Hockey League is looking for our next class of interns to join our 2026 Summer Internship Program. 

The Advertising & Marketing team is looking for an Intern, Marketing - Tune-In Campaigns to assist with national tune-in promotion, rightsholder cross promotion, international rightsholder sites, and more! 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
RSN National Tune-In Promotion 
Review NHL game telecasts on US and Canadian RSNs to identify the frequency and methods of how RSNs promote tune-in to national NHL games on ABC/ESPN/TNT. Compile examples and develop best practices and improvement recommendations to maximize opportunities next season. 
  
Creative Template Production 
Work with production teams (CSD, NHL Productions, TGI Wildcard, others) to develop, produce and proof creative based on approved campaign templates for national game tune-in across US, Canada and international territories. 
 
Rightsholder Cross Promotion 
Build out the NHL’s cross promotion schedule doc based on the 2026-27 NHL game schedule for promotion within US national broadcasts. 
  
International Rightsholder Sites 
Review international rightsholder sites to gather information on how the NHL is displayed, positioned and marketed to fans within those countries, including game schedules, scores/stats, highlights, news and off-ice content, etc. 
  
Beyond Spots/Dots Planning 
Identify list of potential integration targets and dates to promote NHL initiatives across rightsholders, including The Walt Disney Company, Warner Brothers Discovery and Rogers with a focus on in-content promotion during live sports events, sports studio programs, entertainment series and platforms, news programs and platforms, etc. 

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge Areas/Experience
Required
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • College student with an interest in Sales, Marketing, and the Sports Industry 

 Education/Certifications
  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in an accredited university/college pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Required Skills
  • Highly organized, attention to details and strong follow-through
  • Ability to multi-task and follow-up in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills

 All of our internships are paid at $20/hour. WE DO NOT OFFER SCHOOL CREDIT.
