WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

SUMMARY
The National Hockey League is looking for our next class of interns to join our 2026 Summer Internship Program. 
 
We are seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Analyst Intern to join our security team and gain hands-on experience protecting our organization’s critical information assets. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, and security analysis while working alongside experienced security professionals. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles and a strong desire to build a career in information security. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
During this internship, you will support our cybersecurity team in protecting the organization’s infrastructure and data by: 
  • Monitoring security alerts and events using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms and other security tools 
  • Assisting with the analysis and investigation of potential security incidents and threats 
  • Supporting vulnerability management activities, including scanning, assessment, and remediation tracking 
  • Participating in security awareness initiatives and helping develop educational materials for employees 
  • Conducting research on emerging threats, attack techniques, and security trends 
  • Assisting with security documentation, including updating policies, procedures, and runbooks 
  • Supporting compliance activities and helping maintain security control evidence 
  • Contributing to security projects such as tool evaluations, process improvements, or security assessments 
  • Learning and applying security frameworks and best practices in real-world scenarios 
  • Access entitlement reviews 

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge Areas/Experience
Required
  • Foundational knowledge of networking concepts, operating systems, and security principles 
 
 Education/Certifications
  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in an accredited university/college pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field)

Required Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities 
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment 
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately

All of our internships are paid at $20/hour. WE DO NOT OFFER SCHOOL CREDIT.
