WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU
SUMMARY
The National Hockey League is looking for our next class of interns to join our 2026 Summer Internship Program.
The Club Business Affairs Intern will support the day-to-day operations and priority initiatives of the Club Business Affairs team while gaining hands-on experience within the NHL League Office. This internship provides exposure to League-wide Club initiatives, cross-department collaboration, and major NHL events, with a strong focus on the planning and execution of the 2026 NHL Club Business Meetings.
The Intern will assist with logistics, coordination, approvals, and documentation across multiple workstreams, while participating in bi-weekly department meetings. As the internship progresses, the Intern will be encouraged to identify opportunities for growth and expanded responsibility within existing areas of work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Club Business Meetings & Related Events
- Assist with the planning and execution of the 2026 NHL Club Business Meetings, including associated logistics, attendee registration support, materials preparation, and on-site coordination
- Serve as an in-office liaison during the week of the Club Business Meetings
- Support photo and content media needs, including coordination with photographers and organization of meetings images for various presentations
- Assist with the development of post-meetings recaps and documentation as needed
The Stanley Awards
- Support final preparations and day-of-event needs for The Stanley Awards live show at the 2026 NHL Club Business Meetings, working in collaboration with Club Business Affairs, NHL Studios, and NHL Events
The Marketplace
- Assist with the collection, organization, and tracking of Marketplace participant vendor specifications
- Support the distribution of Marketplace-related information to Clubs, vendors, and partners
- Assist with on-site set-up and vendor service engagement
Department Materials Creative Review & Approvals
- Assist the Club Business Affairs team with the review and tracking of creative assets, including Club submissions, national partner requests, and related League approvals
- Support documentation and tracking of approvals as needed
Premiums & Club Information
- Assist in organizing and maintaining NHL retail, vendor, and Club contact lists, including addresses and key contact information
- Support the creation and upkeep of internal Club resources and reference materials
General Department Support
- Attend and contribute to bi-weekly Club Business Affairs team meetings
- Take and organize meeting notes and action items
- Provide administrative and project support across the department as assigned
- Assist in Virtual Line of Sight preparation for the 2026-2027 season
Learning & Development Opportunities
- Gain exposure to League Office operations and Club-facing initiatives
- Develop organizational, communication, and project management skills
- Learn approval workflows, event operations, and cross-functional collaboration within the NHL and associated with Club engagement
- Identify opportunities for professional growth and expanded responsibility based on performance and interest
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge Areas/Experience
Required
- Excellent technology skills including fluency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint is necessary
Preferred
- Familiarity with Monday.com and Box
Education/Certifications
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in an accredited university/college pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Required Skills
- Must be self-motivated, well organized, and be able to handle multiple projects
- Must be adaptable, flexible and be detail oriented
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team

All of our internships are paid at $20/hour. WE DO NOT OFFER SCHOOL CREDIT.
