SUMMARY
The Account Executive, Partnership Marketing supports the day-to-day management and activation of assigned NHL League Corporate Partners in Canada. Working closely with the Manager, Partnership Marketing, this role is responsible for delivering contracted partner rights, executing integrated activation programs, and supporting account growth through strong service, strategic thinking, and executional excellence. The Account Executive serves as a key point of contact for partners on program fulfillment and contributes to best-in-class partnership experiences across league platforms, events, and media.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Support the day-to-day management of assigned NHL corporate partners in Canada and/or the USA, including executing partnership activation plans across league programs, events, on-site assets, and digital/media inventory.
· Coordinate with internal stakeholders (marketing, legal, IP/brand, club services, digital/media, events/operations, finance, licensing) to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of contractual rights.
· Coordinate with partner stakeholders to support meeting planning, relationship management, and partner engagement initiatives.
· Assist in tracking and reporting against partnership revenue targets, business objectives, and program performance metrics.
· Support the planning, execution, and reporting of partner hospitality and engagement programs, including customized experiences, event delivery, and day-to-day partner servicing.
· Support technical communications, partnership initiatives, and sales enablement efforts through data analysis, reporting, and insights generation.
· Assist in the planning and execution of national and on-site activations around NHL Jewel Events, which may include: NHL Heritage Classic, Winter Classic, All-Star Weekend, Stadium Series, Global Series, Stanley Cup Final, and other league initiatives.
· Support partner communications, including status updates, meeting materials, creative reviews, and approvals.
· Track fulfillment of contractual elements and assist with recap decks, fulfillment summaries, and post-program reporting.
· Collaborate with internal digital/media teams and agencies to support media alignment, trafficking, and performance measurement.
· Identify executional improvements and incremental activation ideas that support partner objectives and renewal conversations.
· Assist Manager and senior team members with renewal support, upsell ideation, and development of incremental inventory.
· Proactively and consistently keep Manager and Director informed of potential partner-related programming challenges.
· Maintain an understanding of partner objectives, brand guidelines, and category landscape.
· Support department initiatives, partner events, and new partnership programming as required.
· Stay current on partnership trends and contribute to continuous improvement of league partnership standards and optimization of partner programming.
· Bring a positive, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach to partner service and internal teamwork.
· Take pride in delivering consistent executional excellence in partner servicing and work output.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Post-secondary degree/diploma in business, marketing, communications, sport management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· 3-5 years of experience in partnership marketing, sponsorship activation, account management, brand marketing, agency services, or related fields.
· Experience supporting integrated partnership programs, including event activations and digital/media components.
· Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple timelines and stakeholders.
· Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
· Detail-oriented with the ability to balance executional excellence in a fast-paced environment.
· Relationship-first mindset with a desire to learn strategic account management and partnership growth.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable learning new systems.
· Ability to work collaboratively across teams while also operating independently on assigned tasks.
· Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel in support of league events, as required.
· Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
· Ability to travel domestically and internationally (US) as required.

SALARY RANGE
$57,000 - $62,000
Actual base pay for a successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to: experience/training, market demands, and geographic location.
