Overview
The Columbus Blue Jackets Talent/Producer serves as both on-camera talent and content producer, supporting the team’s Media & Content efforts through storytelling, hosting, and production support. As part of the Blue Jackets holistic Media & Content team, this role helps bring the brand to life across digital and emerging platforms by creating authentic, engaging, and fan-focused content. The position collaborates closely with production, marketing, broadcasting, and sponsorship partners to execute content initiatives aligned with the organization’s overall content strategy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Serve as on-camera talent for original content, digital features, social media programming, and promotional initiatives
- Produce, plan, and assist with the execution of short and longform content projects
- Collaborate with production and creative teams on concept development, scripting, and shoot execution
- Support day-to-day content creation and publishing across owned digital and social channels
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, sponsorship, and communications partners to ensure messaging alignment
- Participate in live, studio, and field productions, including gameday and event coverage
- Help ensure content aligns with brand voice, tone, and storytelling standards
- Stay informed on content trends to optimize content and performance

Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, video editing systems, video playback, Daktronics, replay, video switchers, routers, cameras and related hardware.
Requirements
- On-camera experience with strong storytelling and presentation skills
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro
- Background in content production, media, communications, journalism, or a related field
- Familiarity with digital and social media platforms and content best practices
- Experience working in or around live productions, preferably in a sports environment
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable taking direction while also contributing creative ideas
- Professional, positive demeanor with flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends as required
