Summary
The CBJ Foundation and Community Impact Coordinator provides critical operational and executional support across all revenue-generating activities for the Columbus Blue Jackets. This role is responsible for the strategic oversight of in-arena fundraising, merchandise fulfillment, and in-kind donation programs to maximize philanthropic impact and fan engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Gameday Fundraising & Revenue Generation
- In-Arena Initiatives: Strategically oversee and execute revenue-generating programs during games to drive community impact.
- Auctions: Manage gameday and special event auctions, including item procurement, logistics, and on-site execution.
- 50/50 Raffle: Provide direct oversight of 50/50 raffle operations, ensuring compliance and hitting performance targets.
- Raffles & Activations: Coordinate jersey raffles and other gameday-related activations to enhance the fan experience.
- Merchandise Strategy & Fulfillment
- Product Coordination: Lead the logistics and distribution of high-impact Foundation merchandise initiatives.
- Signature Programs: Manage inventory and sales for specialty items, including: Mystery Pucks, Theme Night apparel (specialty jerseys, shirts), Hats for Heroes
- Promotion: Collaborate on marketing efforts to drive awareness of merchandise-based fundraising. In-Kind Donation Program Management
- Administration: Handle end-to-end management of the donation request system.
- Fulfillment: Process and fulfill requests efficiently while ensuring each donation aligns with the organization’s mission and strategic priorities. Corporate & Partner Engagement Support
- Inventory Management: Coordinate corporate table inventory and tracking for Foundation events.
- Event Attendance: Support event execution to ensure high-quality experiences for partners and stakeholders.
- General Operational Support
- Provide comprehensive administrative and executional support across all broad Community Impact and Foundation initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

Experience
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college of university in business, communications, marketing, or other related field preferred. 1–3 years of experience in non-profit operations, sports management, or event fundraising preferred. Strong interpersonal and writing skills; ability to represent the Columbus Blue Jackets professionally to fans, partners, and stakeholders. Exceptional project management skills with the ability to handle multiple gameday logistics simultaneously. Must be able to work a non-traditional schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to cover Blue Jackets home games and Foundation events. Must have a passion for community impact and the Blue Jackets’ philanthropic goals.
