The Carolina Hurricanes are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Corporate Partnership Sales Executive to join our growing team. This individual will play a critical role in developing and selling integrated sponsorship packages that connect brands to our passionate fan base across in-arena, broadcast, digital, and experiential platforms. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with a proven track record in B2B sales, strong relationship-building skills, and a passion for sports marketing and partnership strategy.
Position Overview
The Corporate Partnership Sales Executive will be responsible for generating new revenue through the sale of sponsorship and marketing assets across the Carolina Hurricanes, Lenovo Center, and affiliated properties. This role requires a strategic thinker who can identify prospective partners, develop tailored proposals, and close multi-year, high-value deals. This position will work closely with the Partnership Activation, Marketing, and Game Presentation teams to deliver exceptional results for partners and the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and secure new corporate partnership opportunities through cold outreach, networking, and industry research.
- Develop customized sponsorship proposals and presentations tailored to prospective partners' objectives and brand strategies.
- Lead the full sales cycle – from initial outreach to closing – including discovery, proposal development, negotiation, and contracting.
- Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets through the sale of integrated sponsorship packages (naming rights, signage, media, digital, promotions, hospitality, etc.).
- Collaborate with internal departments (Marketing, Digital, Activation, Game Presentation) to ensure seamless delivery and execution of partnership assets.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, sponsor categories, and competitor activity to uncover new sales opportunities.
- Represent the Hurricanes at games, networking events, partner meetings, and industry conferences as needed.
- Utilize CRM systems to manage sales pipeline, track communications, and report on progress.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at partner organizations to drive long-term renewal and upsell opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in corporate partnership sales, preferably in professional sports, entertainment, or media strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and closing significant partnership deals.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, KORE).
- Must pass a criminal background check and have valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
